Proximity To Talent

Whether it’s providing close proximity to world-class researchers or career-ready students, NC State’s award-winning Centennial Campus provides a rich environment for innovative thinking, real-world problem solving or cutting-edge research and development. No other research campus in North America provides an inviting mix of corporate and university buildings, housing and dining options, and outdoor amenities, such as a championship golf course, walking and biking trails, and a public lake.

centennial-campus-contentCentennial Campus is home to more than 70 companies, government agencies and non-profits, all benefiting from having direct access to some of the top university programs in engineering, textiles, and veterinary science, in addition to numerous other departments and institutes. This wealth of knowledge fosters creative and innovating thinking that leads to new products and ideas.

Carved out of land deeded to the university by the state of North Carolina more than 30 years ago, Centennial Campus has grown to be one of the top research campuses in the U.S. And it’s not finished. Having recently completed the early stages of its master plan for the next 20 years (called Vision 2034), campus leaders intend to reinvent the very notion of what a research campus should be by using Centennial as a proving ground for numerous technologies and by remotely leveraging its equipment, labs and classrooms to researchers around the world.
